Learning English (ESL or ELL)

Learners interested in improving their spoken and/or written English skills can access one-to-one tutoring or participate in group sessions.

Each learner discusses their goals, is assessed, and then carefully matched with a trained volunteer tutor.

The learner/tutor pair work together for 1-2 hours a week at Salt Spring Literacy or at a mutually agreed-upon location.

All Salt Spring Literacy services are free.
