Programs for Families
Parent / Child Tutoring
Tutoring is available to parents who wish to learn effective strategies to support their children’s reading and writing. Many of our volunteer tutors are retired teachers with years of experience. The tutor will work with the child, then provide suggestions for effective ways for parents to help.
Families Understanding Early Learning (FUEL)
FUEL is a workshop-based family literacy program offered in partnership with School District 64. A series of workshops is offered annually in local elementary schools. Past topics have included reading and writing, numeracy, social and emotional development, developing resiliency, movement and the brain, and sexual health.
