Two bursaries for $5,100 each were awarded to two Grade 11 students living on Salt Spring to support them with their continuing education after graduating from Grade 12. It was a very difficult decision with all students nominated by teachers and community members being very worthy candidates. The recipients will have the option of receiving support from the Salt Spring Literacy Society in planning, budgeting, and applying for their chosen field of continuing education. The society is happy to provide this tutoring support to any high school student.
